In Isaiah 27-35, the Lord begins with pronouncements against His people. He moves to judgment of the world and finally, praise from the redeemed (chapter 35).
So how can we be sure to join in the praise of the redeemed?
Chapter 33 gives us the key: It is summarized as the “fear of the Lord” and seen in lives that walk according to His will, speak truth, reject all material gain unjustly earned and turn from the influence of evil. These are the people who dwell on the heights, whose needs are always supplied, whose health is always good, ans who stand, not sinless, but forgiven.
